These Mushrooms Aren’t Like Other Mushrooms
Lively Vitamin Co. has a unique way of sourcing the ingredients for this mushroom supplement. The mushrooms in Mushroom Magic are what are known as fruit bodies. The fruiting body is when the mushroom reaches the peak in its life cycle, and it’s when you would find the most notable source of nutrition and active compounds.Â
But most supplements that include mushrooms in their formula use mycelium instead. Mycelium comes from the germinated spores that the fruit body produces. The mycelium eventually produces a pinhead, which then grows into a brand new mushroom. This whole process repeats over and over. While mycelium could contain trace amounts of compounds like beta-glucans, they do not provide a significant source of nutritional value. Our mushrooms are sourced in both Canada and the United States.
